3D animation ident

stop motion animation ident

pre production log 5

This week we all had to finish up all of the idents, with my ident being done I just had to wait for the other two to be finished while I finish off some of the work that needed improvements. I went to the other from to Faris to check how the 3D animation went and if I could upload my stop animation ident to YouTube. It turns out that the 3D animation needed a lot more time to finish and at the time it would take at least 5 hours to finish.

It turns out that it was not possible to finish the 2D animation since the other person in my group Daniel was unable to finish it, so we gave that for Faris to finish.Later on in the day I went to the other room and it turns out that Faris managed to finish the 3D ident since he found a video that told him everything, so he was able to finish the ident quicker than we expected him to finish it.

When it comes to the 2D ident we were told that Faris was given it and it would not take that long to finish since Daniel was almost done with it and it would not take long to get the animation done. We were all told that Faris had also managed to do the 2D animated ident, and now all of the idents are done and we just need to upload them onto our blogs.

Due to the fact that there is no work left for us to do, we wont be doing anything next week since we have finished the module.

pre production log 4

This week there was a lot of work for us to do with making the idents. Everybody in the class was told that each group were given 9 pieces of work to finish, and since we found out that it didn't take long to do we all managed to finish everything by the end of break. My group had to do the budgets for all 3 idents and we had to do the call sheets, cast and crew sheets, so that we all got to know who is doing what.

Since I was making the stop animation I had to do the budget that would be needed for the stop animation budget and I needed to do the cast list with the one person playing as the falling student in my ident. I was told that I needed to do the crew list for all 3 idents, which I managed to do in a short period of time.

For the rest of the week we started making to actually make the idents and we all knew what ideas we were going with. First the three of us went upstairs next to the homework club room and filmed the stop motion animation idents and took multiple pictures of Faris falling down and dropping the papers, luckily we only needed to do it once, so there were no injuries like we thought. When we finished the filming of the stop animation ident we quickly edited it and added sound to it to make it sound like it was in a school, hallway which did not take long to do and we managed to finish making the stop animation ident quicker than expected.  We have started the 2D and 3D idents but the other two people in my group are having trouble with finishing it.

Next week we were planning on finishing off the 2D and 3D idents upload all of them onto YouTube, then onto our blogs in time before the deadline is due.

pre production log 3

This week we were all still deciding which logo we were actually going for. Through most of the week one of the people in our group was not in so me and Faris discussed with him on the phone which logo we were all going with and there was a lot of good points made about why exactly we should chose certain logos, and when Daniel was finally in class we all decided what we chose and why exactly we chose it.

Originally we decided that we were going for Faris's logo but then we all discussed with sir that his logo was too fancy for the channel, and we all decided to go with my logo, and we could just change it a bit and add the "A". We all decided that my logo fitted best for the logo for the channel since that my logo contained the CHA logo and it had a TV with the letters "CHATV" which helped us decide which logo was going to be used in the idents that we were making.

When Daniel was in we all decided what exact ident ideas we were all going for, We all decided that we were going for 1 ident from each of us. When we were deciding what idents we were going to make we decided that we were going for my ident for stop motion of a student falling to the ground dropping papers with one paper being the logo, since it is a common thing that happens in school, which can help relate to the audience. We chose to choose Faris’s ident for 3D where there is a desk with the logo falling on it, since it is very exciting and it is set in a classroom, which would appeal to the audience.   We decided that we were going to use Daniel’s ident for 2D where there is a stick man pushing the CHATV TV across the screen and turns it on, and then the letters “CHATV” appear, which seems like a very fun and interesting ident, which fits perfectly with the channel.

Next week my group are all going to plan how exactly we are going to be actually make the idents, and who in our group is going to be doing the animating and the filming, if that is part of their ident idea.
